By now, many of you have probably seen the two newer staff members who first joined our team during the summer for the Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoon shifts. Welcome Rachel and Samantha (Sam)!
Rachel
Rachel (to the right) is pursuing a nursing degree in either pediatrics or labor and delivery. She’s currently taking Biomedical Terminology at College of Dupage. Rachel says bears are her favorite animal and she feels they kind of reflect her personality–huggable on the outside, with a bit of fierceness on the inside! As for her job, she likes how she “clicked with everyone” — both staff and patients.
“I really enjoy coming here,” says Rachel, about working at Dr. Ratio’s office.
Although she stays busy at work with Dr. Ratio’s heavy patient schedule, Rachel says she laughs a lot with Sam. When asked what her favorite Pandora music station is at the office, she says country.
Samantha (Sam)
Sam (to the right and below) helps patients with scheduling, billing, and payments. She’s working toward a medical billing career, taking classes at College of Dupage. In fact, she took the same class (Biomedical Terminology) that Rachel’s taking right now. Sam says she fell in love immediately with the energy of Dr. Ratio’s office.
About first starting her job at Dr. Ratio’s, Sam says: “I felt like a jigsaw puzzle, and I just fit.”
Sam loves Halloween. You may have seen her in her witch costume at the office! She is a busy mom of two girls, Evelyn, 11, who plays softball for the Downers Grove Dolls, and Gabby, 16, a junior at Downers Grove North High School.
