Muscle Manipulation

Muscle manipulation can be likened to a massage. It is a type of deep muscle stimulation used to relax muscles and reduce scar tissue. Typically, this therapy is combined with a cooling gel (Biofreeze) or a warming gel (Chinagel).

Electric Muscle Stimulation

Electric muscle stimulation (electric stim or EMS) is used primarily for relaxation of muscle spasms, maintaining or increasing range of motion, and increasing blood circulation. We also offer portable units for home use.

Ultrasound Therapy

Since the 1940s, therapists have used ultrasound therapy to increase tissue relaxation, blood flow, and scar tissue breakdown. The increase in blood flow is beneficial to reducing swelling and inflammation.
